October TIF....Heaven or hell

For this month Sharon suggested that we share our workspace, and out thoughts about it. Sometimes my workroom looks like this

and sometimes it looks like this

What do you mean, there's no difference!!! The second one is TIDY.

Now, being a Virgo, I long for a beautiful huge natural wood studio with huge windows and a large table and ironing space and a separate area for each machine, fabrics stacked in neat piles, you know what I mean but this room to me is heaven and I know how lucky I am to have this much space of my own. I have one very dear friend who is known to be very houseproud and she, poor dear, cannot bring herself to put her foot inside the door. It may look cluttered but I know where everything is and it only gets into a terrible state when I'm working full out. The funny thing is that when I do have a really serious tidy (about every 3 months) I sit there wondering what to do and it isn't until I start opening boexes that I start to make things again. One thing I do is keep the floor clean,..... sluts guide to housekeeping!!!!

Woow-that looks like a space where wonderful things happen. It positively invites exploration.

Lovely to see your work space, how lucky you are to have all that stash, mine all fits into one smallish cupboard, but then I don't have Johnny Depp for inspiration, I knew there was something missing :-)

Ha ha ha ha it has to be a Virgo thing--stuff everywhere-mine is the same except I think I have a bigger room so I have more clutter.
But it's mine and I love it and if people don't like it then they can stay out.
Stephen reckons if there is a flat space in my room then I will find something to put on it and he's right.
But I don't have Johnny Depp on my walls mainly because I can't see the walls for cupboards and shelves and boxes--you get the idea.

Ooh...Johnny Depp for inspiration!! I wonder if I can get away with that, too?? My dh would never notice, thanks to the hazard trap in MY (extremely lucky me to own) sewing room, too! :p

Good heavens Pat - I am really suprised. You are such a tiny, neat and tidy person to look at, I thought your workroom would be immaculate, a place for everything and everything in its place.
(And I mean that in the nicest way possible)
Am so pleased it is just like mine. :)

Oh my, you have heaven just like me, I am the only one that knows where things are in my "work"room. Well me and the cats that is???
