I've just entered into a discussion on the Yahoo Altered Books Group about altered books and I threw in my own attitude to altering old photographs. Thing is I just can't do it. Perhaps it is because so many of the photographs I used to look at when I was a child have disappeared over the years and therefore anything that has survived is precious. Having said that I love to alter them digitally or by using copies. Here's a couple "I made earlier".

I'm struggling with the same "problem" in that I cannot bring myself to alter what appears to be treasures instead of trash.
